Spice Girls Reunion 2018 -Everything we know so far!

Sporty, Ginger, Baby, Posh, and Scary the all conquering Spice Girls have announced that they will be working together again after a recent meet up, which was the first time all 5 spices have been in a room together since the Viva Forever (Spice Girls) Musical Premier in 2012. The recent meet up also included the girls former manager and American Idol creator Simon Fuller.

So what do we know about the Spice Girls future?

Shortly after the Spicy get together each girl took a turn on Instagram to post a little message:

Victoria Beckham was the first. Stating.

Love my girls!!! So many kisses!!! X Exciting x #friendshipneverends #girlpower

Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown and Melanie C all posted rather similar messages but Emma took it one step further stating, "the future is looking spicy."

After the ladies went their sepearate ways for the first time in a long time the Spice Girls released a joint statement:

“We have enjoyed a wonderful afternoon catching-up and reminiscing about the amazing times we have spent together. We are always overwhelmed at how much interest there is across the whole world for the Spice Girls. The time now feels right to explore some incredible new opportunities together. We all agree that there are many exciting possibilities that will once again embrace the original essence of the Spice Girls, while reinforcing our message of female empowerment for future generations.” On behalf of Victoria, Emma, Geri, Melanie C and Melanie B and it was issued by Jo Milloy who is Victoria Beckham's Publicist .

So this doesn't really clarify anything other then they are looking into new opportunities to work together.

The very next day, after the meetup Sporty Spice, hit the radio waves with an interview on BBC Radio 2.

Melanie C stated, "[Our reunion] is the worst kept secret in showbiz always." She continued, "It was lovely to get together, so we are talking about opportunities, ideas we have for the future... but you know, it's early stages and there's nothing set in stone, there is no big announcement."

Emma spoke the following Monday on her Heart Radio show,

Emma, 42, revealed: "We reminisced about the old times, we were talking about the kids, it was lovely.

"And then we all sat around Geri's table and we got takeaway in, got sushi and some salads and drank tea and a little bit of prosecco, and it was just so lovely to see everyone. I loved it, really good fun."

Emma was then asked if she knows what is happening in Spiceworld but she claims it could still take a while for plans to come into fruition.

She added: "The main thing was that we sat together and have gone, 'Right, there's things, there's opportunities here, are we all in?' So exciting things to come."

"What that is yet, we need another kind of sit down, because we were chatting for hours and then we were like, 'Oh, we've got to pick the kids up! Quick!'"

Emma said the reaction to their group picture led to a "crazy, crazy, mad weekend" describing Friday as "extra special."

Her radio co-host Jamie teased Emma about why Victoria and Mel C decided to get involved after initial reluctance.

He asked: What was it about the £10million that made them change their minds?

She hit back: "Oh ha ha ha. No, again, it was being together and figuring things out, there's lot of opportunities for us especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world."

So this is all we know that is confirmed. Something is happening but what?

TMZ reports a tour is in the works, it has been confirmed they renewed their trademark and still own their own business together Spice Girls LTD. Exciting times for SpiceWorld, will we get a new movie? New Music? (come on ladies you know you want 10 #1 hits.). Either way its great seeing Girl Power alive and well.
